Grain merchandising and storage company Bartlett Grain Co., LP, is facing five willful and eight serious safety violations following an October 2011 grain elevator explosion in Atchison. The incident killed six workers and left two others hospitalized. Proposed fines total $406,000. A contractor was fined separately. (read full story)
